I like the simplicity of this editor, and to make it short, here’s what I did to control which text areas or page to show especially on the admin side–creating an article. I use the Display Suite module on managing the fields, and display. Here’s the draft:

A sample of a custom content type.

A sample of a custom content type.

After enabling…OK, so the BUEditor appears on the text areas I don’t want. The nice thing is, there’s an option in the BUEditor to control the visibility settings.

I use Firefox plugin’s Firebug to see where the textarea, then copied the field.

Then to the Administration > Configuration > Content authoring > BUEditor > Visibility settings, I added where to show and hide the editor.

That’s it!

Using the Taxonomy (Tag) and Relevant Content Module 7.x-1.x-dev, I encountered this error as I’m developing a website made of Drupal 7.

Error produced when a Relevant module display an empty Tag on Term Reference field.

The bug is after I deleted/emptied the tag/term, and the label of the Relevant Content doesn’t go away.

* Notice: Undefined index: title in relevant_content_field_formatter_view() (line 629 of /myserver/sites/all/modules/relevant_content/relevant_content.module).
* Notice: Undefined index: nid in relevant_content_field_formatter_view() (line 629 of /myserver/sites/all/modules/relevant_content/relevant_content.module).

To fix the bug, open the relevant_content.module and check line 629…

// Loop over all the items and create the field output
foreach ($items as $item) {
// Depending on the type, render a field
switch ($item_style) {
default:
case 'default' :
$result = l($item['title'], 'node/' . $item['nid']); //This line
break;

case 'plain' :
$result = check_plain($item['title']);
break;

case 'teaser' :
case 'full' :

For a quick fix, insert this code after the case ‘default’:
if (empty($item)) return;

// Loop over all the items and create the field output
foreach ($items as $item) {
// Depending on the type, render a field
switch ($item_style) {
default:
case 'default' :
if (empty($item)) return; // added additional code here
$result = l($item['title'], 'node/' . $item['nid']);
break;

case 'plain' :
$result = check_plain($item['title']);
break;

The error’s gone, but I rather submit this issue to the module developer for future use.

I rarely post something related to my job but this is an exception–a resolution to impeach a governor has been introduced in the Northern Mariana Islands–first time in CNMI history, unless they (congress)  have guts to impeach gov. Fitial. Well, it’s a blaming game alright. Businesses are dead, people are leaving, high cost of electricity, gas, sky rocketing price of foods, and  many more. It’s a simple math–less people, less money on circulation–no tax to collect; therefore the govt. suffers.

I saw this site googling around the web. http://pili.pin.as/translations/. Good for open source community especially for Filipinos who are eager to get their hands on this web application.

I think some translations are not appropriate from the root words of Tagalog as in the counterpart of English language. Let’s say the word ‘account,’ translated to ‘akawnt.’ I think (to my knowledge) it should be ‘talaan.’ I also notice some grammatical errors using the words in Tagalog sentence. I know because I was born using this language.

Anyway, thanks to the author of this site for propagating the Filipino language in Drupal community.

TYPO3 ver. 4.2.8, using extension tt_news ver. 2.2.24

Everything went smoothly adding tt_news plugins in every page, the problem is this annoying ‘no news_id given’ even though there’s a news story. To disable it, check this file inside: mysite/typo3conf/ext/tt_news/pi/locallang.php

I just added /*….*/ to disable this line

/*'noNewsIdMsg' => 'no news_id given',*/

TYPO3 ver 4.2.8

Using tt_news I’m having a trouble where to find this ‘Breaking News:’ tag. To disable or rename it to another, edit this file inside the mysite/typo3conf/ext/tt_news/pi/locallang.php

Edit
$LOCAL_LANG = Array (
'default' => Array (
'latestHeader' => 'Breaking News:',

and I added this /*….*/
$LOCAL_LANG = Array (
'default' => Array (
/*'latestHeader' => 'Breaking News:',*/

Done.

No more ‘Breaking News’ tag

Again, again..
Purge…rebuild the search index….search…boingggg! Whaaa??

I’m getting lots of results and these results came from the ‘tag cloud’ module on the front-end. What causes it? But I need these searches to be more specific the way Google handles too. :)

Modules: tags_news and tags
Creating a module of tag cloud and inserting it in your page layout at the back-end is easy, but clicking a tag on the front-end (e.g. homepage), just don’t work.
